"...My grace is always more than enough for you, and My power finds its full expression through your weakness." So I will celebrate my weaknesses, for when I'm weak I sense more deeply the mighty power of Christ living in me. So I'm not defeated by my weakness, but delighted! For when I feel my weakness and endure mistreatment--when I'm surrounded with troubles on every side and face persecution because of my love for Christ--I am made yet stronger. For my weakness becomes a portal to God's power. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (The Passion). While recovering these last few weeks, this passage about weakness & grace has been comforting and so encouraging that it seems there is an acceleration of healing in my body! Verse 9 can be translated: The power of Christ rests on me like a tent or tabernacle providing me shelter! I believe the closer we lean in to Christ, the more of the supernatural is released! ..."even though I am nothing," says Paul, "The things that distinguish a true apostle were performed amoung you with great perseverance-- supernatural signs, startling wonders and awesome miracles." 2 Corinthians 12:12 ( The Passion) We should learn to persevere like the apostles so we can receive the power and signs, wonders and miracles as we press deeper into Him. Greater things are part of our inheritence and we are going to see them in our generation! Just a thought...
Exodus 34:6 And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering , and abounding in goodness and truth... In this verse IS the disposition of Messiah. The early church used this important verse to judge prophecy and conduct in the church atmosphere. There were three elders who were in charge of hearing and deciding if what was said and done in that time was in the disposition of Messiah. In this very shaky and explosive time we are living in (exciting & wonderful time I might add) it would serve us well if we would write this verse on the tablet of our heart and in every circumstance, situation we find ourselves apply it rightly and justly. By doing this, we, as the body of Christ, will start looking like the "church" the public has never seen!!!
