While dealing with several health issues in my life, I found myself in a state of fear. I know Yehweh is not the author of fear, yet the uncertainty of the situation made me fearful and was not a good feeling. I began thinking of David & Goliath and the verse in First Samuel 17:45 "You come against me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD of Hosts, the God of the armies of Israel!" David also wrote, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and staff, they comfort me," even when all seems hopeless He is with me! Fear comes with consequences, anxiety, worry, panic, and stress which leads to insecurity. Faith, hope, and trust are the seeds that lead us into victory. In God, we have power to overcome! When our faith grows, we overcome fear and embrace Truth! So, I stand on 1 John 4:18 which says "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear." Amen.
Exodus 34:6 And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering , and abounding in goodness and truth... In this verse IS the disposition of Messiah. The early church used this important verse to judge prophecy and conduct in the church atmosphere. There were three elders who were in charge of hearing and deciding if what was said and done in that time was in the disposition of Messiah. In this very shaky and explosive time we are living in (exciting & wonderful time I might add) it would serve us well if we would write this verse on the tablet of our heart and in every circumstance, situation we find ourselves apply it rightly and justly. By doing this, we, as the body of Christ, will start looking like the "church" the public has never seen!!!
