"For the kingdom of God is not a matter of rules about food and drink, but is in the realm of Holy Spirit, filled with righteousness, peace and joy. Serving the Anointed One by walking in these kingdom realities pleases God and earns the respect of others." Romans 14:17-18 (The Passion) The kingdom of God is entered into by Holy Spirit, and not observing feasts and ritual meals. We must be born of the Spirit in order to enter into God's kingdom realm. To have Holy Spirit is to have the realities of God's kingdom! Paul is saying here to put others first and having right relationships with others as well as right living! While reading Wade Taylor's books, I have adopted some revelations He had on scripture. In this scripture, The Kingdom of God begins with righteousness. As we make the right choices, we discover within us an abiding peace. The favor of God and joy is manifested in this inner peace! Those who are satisfied with being blessed and going to heaven have their reward. BUT ...for those who intensely hunger for this higher level glory and spiritual reality, there is much more! These are the ones who deal with their heart issues, so in that day as overcomers, they will be found in the Throne...seated with Him! "You have chosen us to serve our God and formed us into a kingdom of priests who reign on the earth." (Rev 5:10) The Passion... IT HAS ALREADY BEGUN!!!
Exodus 34:6 And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering , and abounding in goodness and truth... In this verse IS the disposition of Messiah. The early church used this important verse to judge prophecy and conduct in the church atmosphere. There were three elders who were in charge of hearing and deciding if what was said and done in that time was in the disposition of Messiah. In this very shaky and explosive time we are living in (exciting & wonderful time I might add) it would serve us well if we would write this verse on the tablet of our heart and in every circumstance, situation we find ourselves apply it rightly and justly. By doing this, we, as the body of Christ, will start looking like the "church" the public has never seen!!!
