"To Him who loves us and freed us from our sins by His blood, and made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve His God and Father--to Him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen."--Revelation 1:5-6 It has always been the blood and it will always be about the blood! It was the blood that excited John so much that he felt ablaze with the fire of heaven so much that He cried out "To Him be all the glory and power forever!" We, also must feel something of what he felt, see something of what he saw, and feel the fire that moved him to exclaim such praise! First,He has washed us in His blood. The blood provides for us more than we can ever imagine. When we are born again, something happens in our heart, forgiveness and cleansing by the blood of Jesus. The power in the blood has the power of full deliverance even from the stain of sin and washes us whiter than snow. Secondly, the power of the blood is manifested in preparing us to reign and rule in the kingdom, "He has made us kings and priests." It was His blood that defeated sin, and the blood bestowed on Him the right to rule as King in the glory. It is this power that the blood has, that it touches us and produces in us, by faith, the disposition and fitness to become priests and kings! Thirdly, He loves us! Love is the greatest glory of salvation, that the one who is love wants to honor us with His love and friendship. He wants to fellowship with us as family and fill our hearts with His divine love! Lastly, we need to bend our ear to the sound coming from heaven, the song of heaven being sung over us. Let's hold this in our heart so we can rejoice in thanksgiving with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Lord Jesus thank you for the blood!!!
Exodus 34:6 And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering , and abounding in goodness and truth... In this verse IS the disposition of Messiah. The early church used this important verse to judge prophecy and conduct in the church atmosphere. There were three elders who were in charge of hearing and deciding if what was said and done in that time was in the disposition of Messiah. In this very shaky and explosive time we are living in (exciting & wonderful time I might add) it would serve us well if we would write this verse on the tablet of our heart and in every circumstance, situation we find ourselves apply it rightly and justly. By doing this, we, as the body of Christ, will start looking like the "church" the public has never seen!!!
